‘Dyesebel’ is Announced as Philippine’s Highest-Watched TV Program!

One of the most awaited television series of 2014 for ABS-CBN is ‘Dyesebel’. Ever since the premiere of the pilot episode, ‘Dyesebel’ has hit Primetime TV top viewers on the number one spot as one of the most watched TV Programs in the country!

According to data released from Kantar Media on Monday (March 17), the fantasy series ‘Dyesebel‘ has been topbilled with the stars Anne Curtis, Sam Milby, and Gerald Anderson with a national TV rating of 32.8%. That is almost 15 points higher than GMA‘s rival TV Program ‘Kambal Sirena‘ which lands 17.9%.

Other than ratings, the Mars Ravelo classic has been conquering online via social networking sites. For example, Twitter has set the worldwide trend of ‘Dyesebel’ with the hashtag #DyesebelAngSimula.

Starring Anne Curtis, the trailer was presented at the Grand Kapamilya Trade Event on Chinese New Year’s Eve.

The trailer features the beautiful mermaid Anne as Dyesebel and her two leading men, Sam Milby and Gerald Anderson who are in a powerful love triangle.

In the most awaited TV series, and first quarter trade event at the One Esplanade in Pasay City  are the cast members of amazing showbiz talents with Andi Eigenmann, Zsa Zsa Padilla, Dawn Zulueta, Ai-ai delas Alas, Eula Valdez and Gabby Concepcion.

Confirmed! Anne Curtis is to be the next ‘Dyesebel’!

It’s confirmed! Kapamilya actress and TV Host, Anne Curtis will be playing the role of Dyesebel in the new television adaptation of “Dyesebel”!

The highly-awaited news was announced just on Thursday afternoon during a press conference at the ABS-CBN compound in Quezon City. The role isn’t a shock to the public, but also to Anne as she only found out that she was the leading actress on Wednesday. With the newfound info, Anne is more than excited as she told everyone that playing Dyesebel was her dream role.

“”Kababalik ko lang. Nalaman ko lang kahapon. Kahapon lang sinabi sa akin. It is overwhelming. 2013 is a tough year ay may maganda pa lang mangyayari,” Anne said. “It’s another dream come true. Sobra lang akong speechless kasi ang laking project nito. Sinasabi ko noon dream role ko Dyesebel. So ito na, 2014, great way to start the year, “she added.

Although, the role of a mermaid isn’t new to Anne, since she portrayed a similar character the ABS-CBN 2008 fantasy series of “Dyosa”, but a mermaid wasn’t her main role as she was also a harpy and centaur.

Pumped up for the new role, Anne declaims that she is going to try her bet to get ready and fit for her new role. “Gusto ko lang maging magaling na Dyesebel. Gagawin ko lahat, magaaral ako ng fin swimming para maging ibang level na Dyesebel.” She had said.

Playing along with her in the new television series will be leading men Gerald Anderson and her ex-boyfriend Sam Milby.

Other actresses in the past to have played the role of Dyesebel on the big screen are Vilma Santos (1973), Alice Dixson (1990), Charlene Gonzales(1996), and Marian Rivera (2008 GMA 7 adaptation).

Richard Gutierrez is Confirmed to Transfer to another Network, Which One?

As announced on social networking site, Twitter by talent manager and veteran actress Annabelle Rama, she has confirmed that her son Richard Gutierrez is going to transfer to another television network.

Her tweet had quoted, “Sa lahat ng mga nagtatanong kung saang tv network lilipat si Chard, wait nyo na lang sa January 21 ang big announcement, thanks.”

The question now is, where is Richard to transfer to? GMA’s rival network of ABS-CBN to join the family of a Kapamilya, or to the network where his family shines like stars as a Kapatid on TV5?

Already obvious hints of Richard’s transfer has been noticed as he didn’t renew his to-be contract for 3 years with GMA. There are several reasons and hints that lead to why.

Lately, the Kapuso star hasn’t been seen on television for a while which has been the start of the rumors of his transfer. Along with this, Richard’s projects have been a disappointment along with his last film where he starred along Kapuso Superstar Marian Rivera which was titled “My Lady Boss”. The movie was under GMA Films and Regal Entertainment and didn’t hit well at the box office as they were only able to gross Php 19.45M according to Box Office Mojo.

Other conflicts between Richard and the network was between him and the CEO’s daughter, Annette Gozon-Abrogar who has filed a lawsuit against his girlfriend, Sarah Lahbati. There was also a situation where GMA gave him a “fat memo” which apparently insulted him.

Although currently a freelancer, the questions of where he’s to transfer to save his dying career will be revealed on January 21, as Annabelle has declared.

Stories are told that if Richard was to transfer to ABS-CBN, he could be Kapamilya’s Captain Barbell along with the network’s comeback shows of Angel Locsin as Darna and mystery actress as Dyesebel.

Kapamilya introduces the comeback of Mars Ravelo’s popular lovelorn mermaid, Dyesebel as they have bought rights to create their own ABS-CBN rendition and have revealed the teaser for the teleserye entitled “Dyesebel” for this 2014.

“Mula sa karagatan, aahon muli ang kanyang pangalan,” ABS-CBN stated as a teaser of their own during the announcement of the return of Dyesebel on the small-screen.

Way back in 2008, GMA-7 did their own version of “Dyesebel” starring Marian Rivera and Dingdong Dantes which enhanced the ‘Dong-Yan’ craze. This version aired for 25 episodes and in the other countries of Malaysia, Indonesia, Vietnam, Cambodia, Singapore, Myanmar, and China where Kapuso Primetime Queen is considered a big star.

Currently, other names have been showing up as considerations like Shaina Magdayao, Kristine Hermosa, Erich Gonzales, Maja Salvador, Kim Chiu, Janella Salvador, Jane Oineza, Julia Barretto, Julia Montes, Cristine Reyes, Andi Eigenmann, Empress Schuck, KC Concepcion and Anne Curtis to be playing Dyesebel, but the network has done a wonderful job in keeping the one who will play the roles of Dyesebel and her lover, Fredo.
